Want to know the antidote to anxiety?
Anxiety is caused by time travel. We can only be anxious when imagining something that is going to happen, we’re not anxious if we’re in the present moment because if there was something to be worry about right now that might harm us - that would be felt as fear, not anxiety.
In fact, I could go one step further and say anxiety isn't real brecause anxiety is created when we imagine something that is going to happen. Once that imagined event is upon us, we are no longer anxious because we deal with the event as it happens, we survive and we move onto the next thing.
So, if anxiety is the result of time travel, the cure is to be in the present moment.
How do you do this?
Practice! Every time your mind wanders and engages with an anxious thought, bring yourself back to the now. At first, you will probably need to give yourself something to focus on in the present to help keep your mind here. Try holding something in your hand and focusing on that, or drinking something cold, or focusing on a sound or smell.
